Hannah Glasse (1708-1770), kitchen genius and proto-haute-bourgeois world-cuisine entrepreneur. Evident in retrospect, Hannah Glasse exhibits multiculti Brit-colonial spice range as well as anti-French invective -- that is, forerunner to Madhur Jaffrey, Martha Stewart, Alice Waters.
